Cloverkey – A New Option for Opening Up a Gift Shop in a Hospital

Offering a Prestige Retail Solution for Hospital Gift Shop Management

Carrollton, TX – Mike and Lori Cohen, founders of Kelli’s Gift Shop Suppliers and Lori’s Gifts, announce that they are opening up a gift shop management service, Cloverkey, a new sister company to Kelli’s. Cloverkey was created to respond to the increased demand for hospital gift shop management services from a partner completely attuned to and respectful of the hospital environment.

Since 1982 when Mike and Lori opened their first hospital gift shop at Medical City Plano they have focused exclusively on serving the hospital community through retail management and merchandise support. For the next 20 years their gift shop management company, which began as Lori’s Hospital Gift Shops and was later rebranded to Lori’s Gifts, grew to more than 150 locations in hospitals across 23 states.

The Cohens used their expertise in gift shop merchandise selection and buying to begin Kelli’s in 1999. Kelli’s has now grown to a multi-million dollar business that supplies merchandise to virtually every hospital gift shop in the United States as well as numerous convenience stores and specialty gift shops.

A New Option for Opening Up a Gift Shop in a Hospital

Mike and Lori sold their interest in Lori’s Gifts to their financial partners in 2001, but they never lost their passion for supporting the hospital community. Joined by their son, Justin, as President of Kelli’s, the Cohens remained committed to an industry-leading service standard.

The team felt the time was right to return to their retail passion as they observed that in recent years a service void had opened up in hospital gift shop management. As retail experts in hospital gift shop management with a commitment to operating as good faith partners on each hospital campus, the Cohens launched Cloverkey with the mission of filling the service void.

Cloverkey is committed to maintaining the highest standards of retail performance, operating with honesty and integrity, treating vendors and hospital partners fairly, adhering to its commitments and being responsive to the needs and wants of the hospital communities in which it operates.

Cloverkey will be led by Justin Cohen as President. Justin, the son of Mike and Lori, also serves as President of Kelli’s. He has grown up in the industry and knows intimately what hospitals are looking for. Justin is responsible for implementing the inventory management and replenishment system that elevated Kelli’s to a national partner able to boast 98% fulfillment on all orders and next day shipping. Justin plans to assemble a team with the same passion for service and intimate knowledge of hospital retail.
